“Hello World” is the traditional message developers show when learning any new programming language, and it seems appropriate for my first blog post since 2008, when the supervisor for my master’s project (Dr. Daniel Gayo-Avello) suggested me to create a blog to keep track of my final project.
Mainly because of curiosity, I have searched for and found my old blog (in spanish) and I find amazing how Internet allows us to go “back” to the past and see the reflections of the past versions of ourselves…
Coming back to the main point of this post, I intent to use this blog to share my views on different aspects of life, technology and research (probably not in that order) with special focus on Text Analytics and the massive gap that, from my humble opinion, exists between the latests research and the their commercial application.
